Day 5

Today was another amazing day! More kids accepted Jesus and more of our team is seeing God work all around them! There are so many stories to tell when we get home, so be ready.

Continue to pray that God would continue to reveal Himself and change lives. Pray that God would move through us to reach out to the youth, kids, and everyone else we meet. We still have 2 more big BBQs that are great evangelism opportunities. So, pray that God would move there as well.

Day 3

Hey team,

Today was the first day of our VBS camps. Emmaus had 15 kids that showed and Real Life had over 75 kids show up. We are excited about the turn outs even though the numbers seem small.

The kids are loving the rain forest theme and we are excited even yet to see tons of kids meet Jesus in this next week. The youth camp had a great turn out as well of about 30.

Continue to pray the team would be filled with energy and the Holy Spirit. We don't get tons of sleep, so pray that God would provide in every way. Also pray the we would be filled with love so that it would pour out of us like water.

"Commit your actions to the Lord and your plans will succeed." -Proverbs 16:3

We're here!

Hey there everyone,

To our excitement, we arrived in Canada safe and sound. Everyone is now in their host homes and all is well. British Columbia is really beautiful. We were all awestruck by the reds, pinks, and purples of God's creation as the sun set.

You can continue to pray the the Holy Spirit would empower us to be lights in our host homes and the communities we are in.

I was told today that Vancouver, which we are just outside of, is 95% unchurched pre-Chirstians. So, you can also pray that we would be able to reach this society in the same way that Jesus would.

Day One, Eugene

The first leg of our trip is complete! We pulled into our hotel completely safe just before 6pm and are having a great time bonding as a team and building new relationships with each other. Here are two verses from today’s SHAPE you can pray through for our team.

Psalm 33.5 The unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.

Pray that as we serve alongside Emmaus Church and Real Life Church that the God’s unfailing love fills Surrey and that that love brings people to salvation.

Psalm 33.10-11 The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations and thwarts all their schemes. But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken.

We all have our own plans for this trip: what we want to see and what we want to accomplish; God has other plans and His plans are what we really want to see happen. Pray today for soft hearts and flexible attitudes for everyone on the team to not only follow our earthly leaders but more importantly, the Commander of the Armies of Heaven.
